Meeting with officials from Embassies in Madrid, with the purposes of an discussing the topic of Europe Defence

On February 27 Opex held a meeting with officials from Embassies in Madrid, with the purposes of discussing the topic of European Defence. The meeting was coordinated by Borja Lasheras, main researcher for the Security and Defence Panel of Opex, with the intervention of Nicolás Sartorius, Vice-President Executive of Fundación Alternativas, and Enrique Ayala, from the Advisory Council of Opex.
The basis for the discussions, held under the Chatham House rules, was the document "A Future Agenda for the European Security and Defence Policy" , a joint policy paper of Opex with a number of European think-tanks, Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS), Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Egmont -Royal Institute for International Relations. The priorities for Spanish EU Presidency in 2020 were also addressed.
